Oak Bowery Highlands is a farm in east-central Alabama. We keep a variety of livestock and horses, but we are best known for our registered highland cattle and well-started, rare-breed livestock guardian dogs. Most of our Gamprs are direct imports from working lines out of Armenia. We love that these amazing dogs have been guarding livestock for millennia. They need very little (if any) encouragement to do their jobs.

Once our pups become mobile, they free-range our farm during daylight hours. They enjoy swimming in the pond and exploring the woods and pastures. They receive extensive socialization and constant exposure to the cattle, sheep, horses, donkeys, pigs, free-ranging poultry and waterfowl, other dogs, cats, and our seven children. We are deeply committed to preserving and contributing to the Armenian Gampr working lines in the USA!
