History

The history of the Armenian Gampr is very long. We have divided it into four sections, listed below.

First, we explain the domestication of the dog and how it relates to the gampr, wth some evidence of domestication processes within historical Armenia.

Second, we demonstrate the continuous presence of Armenians throughout the last 2000 years, within their ancestral homeland.

Third, we describe some drastic upheavals of the last 100 years, with changes to the perception of all breeds, and particularly the gampr.

Last, we give a description of the changes of the last few decades.
